FIELD: nondestructive tests of parts and materials using radiographic method in various fields of mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed localizer has case accommodating two-way radiating laser; two reflectors; means for focal length indication in the form of pointer with scale secured on localizer case; two cylindrical lenses mounted on radiation axis of laser across each of output beams, first one being inserted between one of butt-ends of laser radiator and first reflector and second one, between second butt-end of laser radiator and second reflector; two light splitters mounted on laser optical axis, first of them being disposed between laser and first cylindrical lens and second one, between first reflector and first cylindrical lens; rectangular full internal reflection prism used to optically couple first and second light splitters and disposed beyond laser optical axis in position in which its hypotenuse face is parallel to this axis; and third cylindrical lens whose optical characteristics are identical to those of first and second cylindrical lenses; this third lens is mounted between second light splitter and prism in position in which plane of its divergent light beam is orthogonal to that of beam formed by first cylindrical lens, and optical axis formed by intersection of these flat beams is coaxial to X-ray beam.
EFFECT: enhanced operating parameters of device.
