METHOD FOR EVALUATING EFFICIENCY OF PHARMACOLOGICAL CARDIOPROTECTION UNDER CONDITIONS OF HYPOXIA-ISCHEMIA Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2242915 C2

FIELD: medicine, pathophysiology, experimental cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: one should narcotize rats and intraperitonealy inject the tested medicinal preparation at a single therapeutic dosage, perform continuous ECG registration, subcutaneously introduce 0.1 ml of 0.1%-adrenaline hydrochloride solution. In 2-3 d animal should be "lifted" for compression chamber height of 11000 m to continue the survey under conditions of acute height hypoxia for 10 min. In case of segment ST shift observed at ECG or rhythm or conductivity disoders one should state upon the inefficiency of pharmacological protection under hypoxic conditions. The absence of the above-mentioned alterations is the sign of the efficiency of pharmacological cardioprotection. The method enables to simply and efficiently evaluate the efficiency of pharmacological cardioprotection.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of evaluation.
