FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out ultrasonic examination of pancreas through anterior abdominal wall. Basic characteristics like outlines, sizes, mobility, structure, echogenicity, pancreas blood vessels state, gland ducts state, biliary system state, signs describing abdominal cavity blood vessels and gastrointestinal tract organs compression degree, lymphatic system response and additional signs characterizing state and condition of surrounding tissues and organs are analyzed. Anterior and posterior stomach body and antral part wall thickness and structure are determined at any filling level, and their thickness and structure are estimated in longitudinal ultrasonic cross-section at the same level of wall measurement in pancreas projection No difference in thickness and structure being detected between the anterior and posterior stomach walls, norm is diagnosed. Significant difference in thickness being detected between the anterior and posterior stomach walls equal to 1 mm or more as a result of all posterior wall layers increase in combination with changes in layers structure of various degree of evidence as echographic layers picture fuzziness and reduced acoustic density of the posterior stomach wall thickness, acute pancreatitis diagnosis is set.
