FIELD: shipbuilding; manufacture of propellers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed propeller has blades and hub made in form of sleeve where blade shanks are located; each blade is rotatable around axis whose geometric axis does coincide with axis of rotation of propeller and is radially shifted from it; blades have rake which is opposite relative to direction of rotation of propeller. Geometric axis of turn of blades forms with axis of propeller shaft angle of 0-20 deg. and angle of turn of blades Ψ around this axis dies not exceed 20 deg. From designed position of blade corresponding to angle of Ψ=0 deg. And no more than 5 deg. In direction of rotation of propeller; blade rake is so made that angle α characterizing the blade rake formed by two beams on projection of each blade is lesser than 70 deg. Beams forming this angle go from center of propeller and pass through centers of midsections of blades at relative radius equal to 0.3 and 1.0. Besides that, maximum distance between propeller axis and axis of turn of each blade does not exceeds 20% of its radius; radius of curvature of outer surfaces of blade shanks located in hub sleeve is 0.7-0.75 of hub radius.
EFFECT: increased thrust characteristics of propeller in wide mode of ship motion.
