FIELD: metallurgy; cooling inner coats of metallurgical furnaces; manufacture of cooling plates.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cooling plate has body made from copper material with passages for cooling agent. Copper blank with passages is made at large initial thickness as compared with its final thickness. Then, blank is subjected to deformation by rolling at reduction of initial thickness to final magnitude; transversal sections of passages are also subjected to deformation, thus obtaining elongated and rounded-off cross sections.
EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency; enhanced efficiency of cooling.
