SUBSTANCE: proposed cooling member for shaft furnaces with heat resistant sheathing, particularly, blast furnace, consists of length of section made of copper or low-copper alloy made by continuous pressing or rolling and provided with channels for cooling agents in space. Cooling member is secured by pins on blast furnace jacket fastener and by its own fastening rib. Upper and lower ends of cooling member are bent through 90° towards blast furnace jacket and are passed through its holes.
