FIELD: metallurgy, namely cooling apparatuses for shaft furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: cooling plate of shaft furnaces with refractory lining has first part turned to inner space of furnace and second rolled rear part. Said parts are mutually welded. Cooling plate also has cooling duct formed between first and second parts of cooling plate; tube pieces for inlet of cooling agent and respectively for outlet of cooling agent. First part of cooling plate is in the form of bloom with flat frontal side turned to inner space of furnace. Surface area of cross section of cooling duct of end zones exceeds that of mean zone. Large number of cooling plates arranged one near another forms cooling system of shaft furnace.
EFFECT: enhanced technological and hydrodynamic characteristics of cooling system.
