FIELD: shipbuilding; methods of connecting the ships.

SUBSTANCE: for connection of ships, mainly connection of self-propelled tug with barge, one connecting half on one ship is coupled with mutually-completing connecting half on other ship. Connecting half performs motion corresponding to motion of mutually-completing half when force is applied towards mutually-completing half; thus, movable connecting half is amenable to action of contact force between connecting halves. Later force of limited magnitude is applied to movable connecting half and is changed in anti-phase at mutual motion of ships and is increased till relative motion of ships is reduced to permissible magnitude or possible to zero.

EFFECT: possibility of connecting ships under swell conditions.
