FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed barge-tug train consists of pusher tug and barge coupled by automatic coupler. Opposite sides of pusher-tug fore have two moving thrusts for controlled axial extension for coupling and pulling-in for decoupling. Barge aft has a recess to accommodate pusher-tug fore and two channels at aft ledges for coupling with moving thrusts. Aft walls of every channel of toothed while aft of moving thrust is shaped to wedge. Said recess and channels are inclined to main plane. Inclination makes 30-60 degrees. Pusher-tug fore is inclined to main plane by stem and flare.

EFFECT: enhanced performances of pusher-tug-barge train.
