FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes tapping of steel to ladle, introduction of de-oxidizers and alloying additives in way of tapping which possess affinity for oxygen and introduction of material containing silicon carbide. De-oxidizers and alloying additives whose affinity for oxygen exceeds affinity for carbon are introduced in ladle when it is filled by 8-12% of volume and remaining de-oxidizers and alloying additives are introduced when ladle is filled by 50-60% of its volume and material containing silicon carbide is introduced when ladle is filled by 750-80% of its volume. Scrap of lining of aluminum electrolyzers and slag of production of alumo-silicon alloys may be used as material containing silicon carbide, provided content of aluminum does not exceed magnitude preset depending on consumption of silicon carbide by definite expression.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of silicon carbide due to enhanced stability of assimilation of silicon; reduced losses of manganese, silicon and titanium.
