FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to iron and steel metallurgy, particularly to steel processing at its tapping from converter to ladle. At metal tapping from the converter to the ladle simultaneously with carburiser there is introduced the first portion of aluminium to 20% from its total consumption, and when the ladle is full with metal to (0.2-0.4) of working cavity height, the second portion of aluminium is introduced, till the total amount with the first portion of 80% from the total consumption is achieved. The last portion of aluminium is introduced together with ferroalloys, and the total consumption of aluminium is evaluated by formula: Pal=KlLnCtap-K2, where Pal is total consumption of aluminium kg/t, Kl is an empiric coefficient considering influence of carbon content at metal tapping into ladle on total consumption of aluminium equal to (0.60-0.80) kg/t, Ctap is contents of carbon in metal before tapping into ladle %, Ln is a symbol of natural logarithm, K2 is an empiric coefficient specifying influence of carbon, silicon and manganese introduced with ferroalloys on total consumption of aluminium and it is equal to (0.70-0.95) kg/t.
EFFECT: improved quality of steel and reduced aluminium consumption.
