SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device include evaluation of N first-beam time delays by N-times implementing of correlation functions of multibeam and single-beam signals. First-beam time delay estimate is assumed to equal mean value of first-beam time delay.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of first-beam time delay evaluation in receiving multibeam signal.
