FIELD: civil engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gripping device for lifting structural members in form of plates consisting in middle layer not designed for taking up load and facing sheets from both sides of said layer. Proposed device has frame structure 1, drive 2 which passes through frame structure and is made for rotation relative to frame structure 1, gripping member 3 fitted on one end of drive and brought in contact with facing sheet, working members 4 fitted on opposite end of drive 2 and designed for changing working state of drive 2. According to invention, each gripping member 3 has grip surface 5 eccentric relative to drive rotary shaft 17 and pointed from rotary shaft. Frame structure 1 is provided with grip lugs 6 located in zone of said grip surfaces turned into gripping position P. With grip lugs 6 and grip surfaces 5 turned into gripping position P arranged at first minimum distance W1a, said grip lugs and grip surfaces are pressed to facing sheets 12 or 13. Second distance W2 between grip lugs 6 and surfaces 5 turned to free position V exceeds thickness of facing sheet. Proposed gripping devices does not cause damage to ready structural member impairing its external appearance and it can be used at handling structural members with different porous and light insulating materials between facing sheets and capable of gripping any edge of structural member, irrespectively of provision of projection and slot on its surface.
