FIELD: protection of electrical installations up to 100V against emergency conditions that may cause lethal electric shocks of people and animals.

SUBSTANCE: the device has a differential zero phase-sequence current transformer, with a relay connected to its secondary winding, automatic circuit breaker, symmetrical capacitance unit formed by three capacitors of the same capacitance and with an operating voltage not exceeding the rated voltage of the air power line, one of the leads of each capacitor is connected to one of the phase wires of the air power line, and the other - to the protective neutral wire of the air power line; the capacitance of each capacitor shall be at least 10µF and provide actuation of the circuit breaker at a disturbance of the capacitance symmetry of the capacitor unit, the capacitor unit is installed on the last support of the air power line in the direction of power motion, and the circuit breaker - on the first support of the air power line.

EFFECT: provided protection of people and animals in case of a break of wires of the air power line and protection against fires at short circuits.
