FIELD: power stations and substations.
SUBSTANCE: proposed high-voltage instrument transformer has casing, magnetic core, windings, insulator, and ground fault detector that incorporates current sensor, phase detector, filter, and relay. Phase detector is controlled by junction voltage with aid of transformer and functions to detect only active component of current (leakage).
EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced reliability and noise immunity.
