FIELD: non-iron metallurgy, in particular copper electroextraction from sulfuric acid electrolytes.
SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes providing on copper surface protective foam layer with introduced surfactant. As said surfactant alkylsulfonate in amount of 5.5-7.5 mg/l is used. Surfactant is introduced directly in bath together with circulated electrolyte through hanging cradle, arranged in internal bath wall.
EFFECT: reduced concentration of copper, nickel and sulfuric acid in air samples over electrolytic bath surface.
