FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engine.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method external compression of air is carried out in multiple steps with intercooling to pressure equal to working pressure at end of compression in combustion chamber, and heating of compressed air to fuel ignition temperature is done owing to heat energy of exhaust gases. At first working cycle said air is filled into part of cylinder working space, heated dispersed fuel is injected, fuel is combusted and air-fuel mixture expands, and at second cycle exhaust gases are discharge with provision of heating of compressed air and fuel. Device contains multistage compressor with intercooling for compressing air to pressure equal to working pressure in combustion chamber, regenerative heat exchangers for heating compressed air and fuel, and pneumatically driven valves and pneumatic valve control mechanism connected hydraulically to compressor and valves, and mechanically, to engine crank-and-connecting rod mechanism. Device is furnished with electric air heater installed between intake manifold and regenerative heat exchanger for initial starting of engine.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine working cycle.
