FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine engineering, particularly, to internal combustion engines. Essence of invention consists in the fact that performing multistage compression of mixture consisting of air, exhaust gases and water in finely dispersed phase, wherein the compression pressure varies depending on the operation mode, and the fuel is added to the compressed mixture, a homogeneous combustible mixture is obtained, which is heated to temperature lower than the thermal self-ignition temperature, after which parts of the first stroke are filled with combustible mixture to perform work during filling, wherein depending on operation mode, and the quality of the combustible mixture, and then on the remaining part of the first stroke ignition of the combustible mixture, detonation-free combustion and expansion of the formed gases, and at the second stroke - output of exhaust gases with heating of compressed combustible mixture and extraction of part of cooled exhaust gases for recirculation.
EFFECT: technical result consists in higher engine efficiency.
