SUBSTANCE: proposed piezoelectric resonator that can be used for developing devices around volume acoustic waves operating in frequency range of 600 kHz to 25 MHz is characterized in that shape of its piezoelectric-crystal plate specified by empirical expression correlating plate length along electrical axis X with its size along axis Y' for shear vibrations through height or with its size along axis Z' for shear vibrations over contour irrespective of plate positioning is optimized.
EFFECT: reduced size of piezoelectric-crystal plate.
