COLLINEAR OPTICAL FILTER Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: collinear optical filter includes polarizer, light-acoustic line in the form of rectangular parallelepiped and analyzer installed in series in path of light. Converter for excitation of lateral ultrasonic waves with varying directions of propagation of phase and group speeds is put on one of side edges of light-acoustic line, lower edge of light-acoustic line carries ultrasound absorber. Light-acoustic line of filter is built on base of isotropic piezoelectric crystal which upper edge has additional ultrasound absorber. Converter is fabricated in the form of lattice of metal electrodes of interdigitated type excited in counterphase. EFFECT: simplified design of optical filter, expanded range of its operational lengths of light waves. 3 dwg
