COMBINED STUMP DRILL Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: forestry engineering, in particular, drills for preparing of seeding place in stump, feeding of fertilizer, soil and seeds into stump root bore.

SUBSTANCE: drill has hopper with fertilizer and seed sections provided with seed guides, screw borer with hydraulic drive and pivotal prismatic grid with hydraulic lowering and raising cylinder, cutter with hydraulic drive and mechanism for deepening thereof into soil. Smooth part of screw borer is provided with disconnecting mechanism to provide for reciprocation of spiral part of borer. Disconnecting mechanism has two single-apex cones equipped with spring-biased fingers having roller bodies fixed at their ends. Apparatus allows rotation of spiral part of borer to be interrupted after working of root bore of only end part of stump.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability of stump drill.
