FIELD: shipbuilding; carrying liquid cargoes by water transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes cargo tanks made in form of separate modules interconnected together for forming train. Modules are interconnected by means of ropes running over entire length of train and spherical joints. Space between modules is closed with rubber couplings-adapters. Spherical joints make it possible for all modules to turn in three planes. Provision is made for rope tension control system depending on load created due to swell; control is effected by means of winch installed in module-pusher. Assembly of module-type ship may be performed directly in water basin excluding use of heavy hoisting gears and slipways. Ships of various purpose may be assembled due to use of similar modules of aft and fore extremities and different modules in midship section.
EFFECT: enhanced safety of carrying liquid cargoes; enhanced ecological safety.
