FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to ice-breaking tankers. Tanker hull comprises bottom, second bottom, vertical sides, ballast tanks, upper deck, freight are with freight tanks arranged in line along the ship length and in symmetry about its centre plate. Said tanks have lengthwise and crosswise bulkheads and flat bottom. Set in the area of ice belt has reinforcement. Element is provided in the area of steering arrangement for partial protection of steering structural elements against ice shocks in tanker backing. Tanker hull represents a light-draft design. Tanker fore represents an ice-breaker shape with ledge at stem bottom section with maneuvering propulsion device arranged therein. Tanker aft centre plane has lengthwise semi-tunnel. Two full-swing main propulsion steering columns are mounted at horizontal plates. Protective element has two ledges arranged on side of said semi-tunnel toward aft from said horizontal plates. Transom is equipped with the device to push the tanker ahead as the ice breaker.

EFFECT: higher ice breaking capability and maneuverability at low speed under heavy weather conditions.
