FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing polyfluorinated alkyl chlorosulfites of the formula: H(CF2)nCH2OS(O)Cl wherein n = 2, 4, 6. Method involves interaction of corresponding polyfluorinated alcohols and thionyl chloride in their mole ratio = 1:(1.5-2), respectively. Polyfluorinated alcohol is added to reaction in mixture with N,N-dimethylformamide as a catalyst in their ratio = 1:(0.001-0.01), respectively, at temperature (-15o)-(-5o) C. The reaction mixture is kept at temperature 20-30oC for 0.5-3 h with blowing evolving hydrogen chloride with inert gas. Invention provides simplifying process for preparing polyfluorinated alkyl sulfites, to enhance the yield and to obtain product with enhanced stability against decomposition.
