FIELD: building units, particularly for reinforcing concrete structures.
SUBSTANCE: bar comprises core and inclined ribs formed on core surface. Core has cross-section of outer profile in the shape of truncated hypocycloid with even number of branches. Inclined ribs are arranged so that outer outline of their projection onto normal rod section consists of even number of centrosymmetrical convex curves non-mating one to another and crossing outer core contour so that longitudinal ribs are formed on bar in start points of hypocycloid branches. Ribs have depressions formed along bar length and spaced equal distance one from another.
EFFECT: provision of optimal characteristics of reinforcement engagement with concrete due to optimal bar profile.
