FIELD: rocketry applicable in small-sized rocket complexes.
SUBSTANCE: the rocket has an engine provided with a barrel installation located inside the engine in its longitudinal axis, in which a projectile separated in the trajectory is installed, the projectile caliber is less than the engine caliber, and a propellant charge. The propellant charge is positioned in a cavity made in the projectile rear section. The rear section of the projectile outer surface has a variable section with a reduction to the rear end face. The cavity with the propellant charge communicates through gas vents with the reduced surface of the projectile. The gas vent outlets are positioned symmetrically in the cross section of the projectile body, and the bottom section of the barrel installation communicates with the atmosphere through a passage, whose area is less than the barrel cross-section area.
EFFECT: reduced mass of the rocket and the level of overloads acting on the projectile.
