FIELD: rocketry, applicable in production of rockets of various purpose.
SUBSTANCE: the engine has a guide, to which a ballast limiting the unconfined space of the guide is fastened with the aid of fixing members. The ballast has a cavity, in which the propellant powder charge is positioned. Powder is ignited by a pyroinitiator, whose combustion products get into the unconfined space of the guide. The ballast inner cavity through a discharge opening is gas coupled to the unconfined space of the guide.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the ballast-type pulsejet engine and improved mass characteristics due to organization of stable burning of the powder charge.
