FIELD: the invention refers to the field of armament.

SUBSTANCE: a rocket starting from a launch tube plugged from the bottom, has a sustainer rocket engine with a nozzle, a gas generator connected through consumed openings with the inner cavity of the launch tube. With the aid of calibrated elements the gas generator is fastened on the nozzle forming an igniter cavity and has a pyroinitiator. The generator's body has a gas conduit connecting the igniter cavity with the pyroinitiator. The gas conduit is drawn into the igniter cavity to 50-75% of its total length. The square of the passing section of the gas conduit exceeds in 1,25-1,66 times the square of the critical section of the nozzle of the sustainer rocket engine. The pyroinitiator is connected with the gas conduit through a powder accumulator of pressure.

EFFECT: improves exploitation characteristics of the rocket.
