FIELD: forestry, agriculture and nature protection, in particular, recovering population of large spiders in orchards or protective forest strips.
SUBSTANCE: method involves hanging in tree crown at the level of 3-9 m from ground surface of rectangular or square wooden frames contoured along perimeter thereof with boards or racks of 10-20 cm width and inner connecting members of 3-9 cm width, with frames being hung on shortened branches to length of 20-30 cm of extension; providing distance of 30-50 cm between frames in row. Frames are positioned in staggered arrangement, i.e., in offset relation of one row with respect to adjacent row.
EFFECT: increased ecological capacity and biological protection of orchards and protective strips from pests due to attraction of large spiders.
