FIELD: laser systems for transmitting and measuring information, possibly in marine and river ships for guiding them in complex waterways and for providing their safety navigation in near shore zone, in other branches needing remote measurement of range, coordinates and speed of object.

SUBSTANCE: laser beacon includes multi-color laser target, lens, splitting plate, built-in monitoring unit, optic system of photo-detector, photo-detector, units for preliminary amplification and shaping signals. Scanning semiconductor laser with electronic pumping is used as irradiation source. In order to realize it, beacon includes scanning electron-beam tube with controlled electron-beam sweeping. Electron beam control unit is used for controlling said tube. Timing unit is used for locking-in operation of electron-beam control unit in accordance with memory unit for storing information including readings corresponding to time moments of pulse reception from signal shaping unit for odd and even screens. Signal train of timing unit is supplied to other inlet of memory unit and the same signal train is supplied to electron-beam control unit. Computer is used for receiving signals from memory unit and from built-in testing unit. In computer according to given program parameters of one or several objects are calculated for forming control signals corresponding to said parameters and applied to electron-beam control unit. The last forms dimensions of modulated color zones. It allows to control color zones at changing their configurations if necessary according to desired conditions.

EFFECT: enhanced safety of guiding ships along complex waterways in near-shore zones.
