FIELD: inorganic fibers soluble in salt solution having high refractory properties.
SUBSTANCE: fiber briquette obtained by vacuum casting with holding for 24 h at 12600C has shrinkage as most 3.5 %. Fiber includes CaO, SiO2, MgO, and less than 2 % of random impurities. Excess amount of SiO2 (defined as calculated amount of SiO2, remained after crystallization of above mentioned components in form of silicates) is more than 21.9 mol.%, CaO content is higher than the same of MgO, and calculated ratio of doipside/vollastonite is not in interval from the respective ratio for E32 to 5.25. Method for treatment of products with claimed fiber to provide refractory properties also is disclosed.
EFFECT: fibers soluble in salt solution useful at 12600C or more.
