CHAIN HYDROMECHANICAL TENSIONER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2248482 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in camshaft drive mechanisms of internal combustion engines. Proposed hydromechanical tensioner has housing 1 with flange 2, cover with oil-feed channel 7, spring-loaded plunger 5, backward travel step lock mechanism, and device forming collar cap. Base of plunger 9 is movable, being provided with axial cylindrical projection 10. throttling hole 11 is made on projection 10 from side of base 9. with base 9 moving, oil is throttled through hole 11 into lubrication system. With base 9 moving, through section of throttle hole 11 if overlapped by inner surface of plunger 5 which increases hydraulic resistance.

EFFECT: improved serviceability and reliability of device.
