PRESSURE-TIGHT LUMINAIRE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2248499 C2

FIELD: light engineering.

SUBSTANCE: luminaire has housing made of insulating material and provided with a gasket inlet, transparent protective cap, light-emitting-diode lamp provided with converter, and contact members of power circuit. The insert which carries the lamp and is made of insulating material is mounted inside the housing. The insert form the safety chamber together with the walls of the housing. The chamber receives the contact members. The insert has insulating pillars provided with screws which allow the lamp to be secured to the insert and tighten the insert with housing and flange through rubber seal of the gasket inlet. The flange has fitting with a standard thread for securing the housing to the pipe and passing the cable for power supply. The housing made of insulating material can be mounted coaxially inside the protective shell which is secured to the flange.

EFFECT: simplified design and enhanced electrical safety.
