FIELD: illumination engineering, namely rejecting (red, blue) or lighting (white) illumination devices used in open space or rooms containing explosion-hazard mixtures of vapor, dust or fibers with air, particularly for light barriers of industrial tubes, illuminating gun powder storehouses, tank ships, shafts and so on.
SUBSTANCE: device includes explosion proof optical unit 1 on base of light emitting diodes 2; transparent hood 3; mains converter and explosion impermeable inlet box 7 with hinged lid. Optical unit is arranged inside hood 3 on mandrel in the form of flange 4. Screws are used for mounting optical unit in lid 6 whose shape corresponds to that of flange 4. Detachable mains converter is arranged in inlet box and it is connected with optical unit 1 on printed circuit boards. Electric current supply leads of light emitting diodes are soldered to printed circuit boards and protected by means of electrically insulating compound. Each light emitting diode or group of such diodes are shunted by means of Zener diodes 28. Inlet box has explosion ducts 18 along threaded joint sealed with gasket.
EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced operational and illuminating parameters of device.
