FIELD: hydrometeorology, applicable for production of population warning systems on probable rise of the level of atmospheric pollution in coastal areas of seas, oceans and inner basins.

SUBSTANCE: in the process of monitoring of polluted atmosphere, observation of the sorption layers of the water surface adjoining the serviced area, temperature, saltiness of the water basin are performed. Claimed also is a system for monitoring of atmospheric pollution, including a monitoring center with means for plotting the charts of atmosphere pollution fields, connected with its input and output to the atmosphere purity monitoring posts and the means of meteorological support, computing means of the forecast of scenarios, complex of laboratory examinations of sorption layers, complex of remote monitoring of the water surface with means of recognition of sorption layers.

EFFECT: enhanced information content of the monitoring system.
