FIELD: electrical engineering; single-motor and group multimotor ac drives.
SUBSTANCE: proposed power system has voltage conversion unit in the from of three-phase rectifier and three-phase voltage inverter. Connected between power buses are power section of overdrive unit with storage capacitor and charge circuit incorporating fully controllable switching member in the form of transistor, as well as inductive energy storage in the form of reactor. Discharge circuit of overdrive unit has other switching member. Control outputs of switching members are connected to control unit. One charging cycle of storage capacitor is characterized in two steps. During first step switching member of charge circuit made in the form of single-ended conductivity controllable switch such as transistor is driven in conduction, and current starts rising in reactor to desired value. Upon attaining this value transistor is cut off. During second step energy stored in reactor is conveyed through diode to capacitor. Diode prevents development of vibration process.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and enlarged functional capabilities of system.
