FIELD: welding high-alloy steels, including refractory, fire-resistant and corrosion-resistant steels, welding different-kind steel, surfacing lining layers.
SUBSTANCE: electrode for welding steels with chrome content up to 25% and nickel content up to 30% includes rod of austenite steel with coating containing, mass %: marble, 10 - 28; ferromanganese or manganese, 6 - 15; ferrochrome or chrome, 5 - 20; magnesite, 3 - 12; iron powder, 2 - 10; titanium dioxide, the balance. Electrode may be used for AC- or DC-welding and it provides separation of slag even from comparatively narrow dressings.
EFFECT: significantly enhanced repeated ignition of electric arc, creation of slag providing possibility for restricting carbon content in welded metal.
