FIELD: material engineering, in particular thermostatic coating composition.
SUBSTANCE: claimed composition contains (mass %): potassium metasilicate with module of at least 4.5 and density of 1.185-1.195 g/ml 24-30; distillated water 23-37; and modified zirconium(IV) oxide of high purity as a pigment. Coating composition of present invention is useful in passive thermostatic systems for spacecrafts.
EFFECT: coating with improved radiation resistance and decreased initial absorption coefficient of solar radiation without losses of maximum radiating ability.
