FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to prevent blinding of drivers of on-coming vehicle in dark hours. System uses for its operation optimum filtering of light of occasional high mean pulse period-to-pulse duration ratio of vehicle own headlights by optical screen. Proposed system includes electric pulse generator acting onto headlight light source, screen of controlled transparency and control unit forming random stationary sequence of pulses. Control of screen provides its opening for period of action of light pulse of own headlights and closing the rest of time. System can include unit to receive pulse infrared or optical radiation connected to electronic control unit which is made for correcting accidental headlight pulse radiation time moments on principle of minimum coincidence in time with impairing light pulses.
EFFECT: provision of suppression of any blinding independent light radiation as compared with radiation of vehicle own headlights, improved safety of traffic.
