FIELD: materials handling facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for checking and handling of sheet materials, for instance, bank notes, piling or accumulation of sheet material and device for checking or handling sheet material. Proposed device for checking and/or handling of sheets, for instance, bank notes, is furnished with feed wheel. As distinct from piler of known design, feed wheel is rotated constantly, periodically decreasing or increasing its speed to align wheel pockets with inlet trough at moment of approaching of sheets to wheel. Feed wheel is rotated in step manner and is turned into new position at space of time when sheets get to wheel to prevent crumpling of sheet getting into wheel pocket. Step turning of feed wheel is provided according to preset parameters, with wheel stopped and held stationary in each preset position in which wheel pocket is aligned with inlet trough for time required for getting of separate sheet into wheel.
EFFECT: increased speed of handling of bank notes, reduced cost and weight of device and consumed power.
