FIELD: sorting of banknotes. SUBSTANCE: feeding tray 2 and intake trays 12-15 of this facility are so built and oriented with reference to front panel 1 of facility that each information carrier 3 faces user with its longitudinal side. Facility incorporates separator 19 designed for piecemeal separation of sheets from stack and transportation system 4 which is so arranged that information carriers move through test unit lengthwise with their long side. After passage through test unit 6 information carriers are fed lengthwise with their short side with the help of conveyer 7 which changes direction of their movement from longitudinal to lateral, towards one of intake trays. Facility to sort sheet information carriers has compact and ergonomically optimal design and allows usage of compact and inexpensive test units in it.
