FIELD: survey geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic field pulse radar probing is used for surveying location of kimberlitic pipes. Horizontal magnet dipoles are introduced into receiving and transmitting devices. As a result the possible difference in electric properties of kimberlitic pipes including overlapping rocks and non-uniformities in structure of pipes themselves can be distinguished from magnetic properties of kimberlitic pipes. Kimberlitic pipes are selected according to magnification in amplitude and other peculiarities of reflected signal or group of signals.
EFFECT: increased precision.
