FIELD: production of roentgen rays.
SUBSTANCE: proposed pulse oscillator has capacitor 3 made in the form of three coaxially disposed cylinders of which cylinder 1 functions as oscillator case, cylinder 4 is connected to high-voltage pulse transformer 2, and cylinder 5 serves as part of casing of X-ray emitter 6 incorporating X-ray tube 8, shorting-out inductance coil 9, and peaker gap 7 whose one insulator 10 separating low- and high-pressure areas 11 and 12, respectively, has threaded outer surface mounting shorting-out inductance coil 9, and second insulator 13 disposed on side of high-voltage pulse transformer 3 separates high-pressure area 12 from space 14 filled with liquid insulator.
EFFECT: enhanced pulse emission power.
