FIELD: welding processes and equipment, possibly in different branches of machine engineering for making welded structures.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of igniting arc between non-consumable electrode and metal in welding circuit including inductance due to realizing discharge of capacitor. Arc is ignited by means of non-consumable electrode with diameter 0.5 - 6 mm at electric current intensity 0.3 - 5 A, inductance of welding circuit 6 - 8 microG and discharge of capacitor with capacitance 1000 - 2000 microF. Method allows welding by means of open arc with direct and reverse polarities.
EFFECT: lowered overheating of electrode, simplified equipment for welding super-thin articles.
