FIELD: measuring equipment engineering.
SUBSTANCE: during determining of natural and piled density of grain method uses data about its mass and volume. Set mass of grain is piled in graduated measuring tank in form of pseudo sphere, forced mechanical oscillations are applied to tank until setting a stable volume, occupied by grain, volume of this is measured and on basis of known mass and measured volume of grain its natural density is determined. To determine piled density of grain into said tank from identical tank compacted freely moving grain mass is piled, volume occupied by it is measured and on basis of known mass and volume of grain its piled density is measured. Measuring tank of device for determining density of grain is characterized by upper hollow in form of pseudo sphere, while upper neck of sphere is graduated in calibrated values of capacity units, and lower neck is provided with lid.
EFFECT: higher precision and overall efficiency.
