METHOD FOR PREDICTING MYOPIA PROCESS DEVELOPMENT COURSE NATURE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2252734 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves taking zinc and copper microelements level measured in hair and zinc level measured in lacrimal fluid of a patient as criterion for differentiating the cases of rapid progress myopia from slow one using atom absorption spectroscopy method. Increased zinc and copper level in hair on the background of reduced zinc level drop in lacrimal fluid taking place, rapid progress myopia is considered to be the case. Reduced level of the microelements in both media under study being observed, slow progress myopia is considered to be the case.

EFFECT: high accuracy of prognosis.
