FIELD: metal working, namely working openings in blanks such as sleeves by broaching.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of initially basing blank by its outer surface and supporting end; then elastically mounting blank in satellite-device by aligning supporting end of blank with bearing plane of satellite-device whose bearing surface area exceeds area of supporting surface of blank and whose gravity center is laid on axis of worked opening; basing satellite device with blank on support for broaching according to its bearing plane and to one cylindrical surface of blank; determining spacing between axis of worked opening and outer contour restricting bearing plane of satellite device according to given relationship.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of working, improved operational reliability of tool at broaching openings in large-height blanks at compressing them.
