FIELD: wood working industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to woodworking, particularly to lines for ripping timber. Band headrig sawing conveyor line has a closed transport line with zones of loading timber and its unloading after sawing, a mechanism to feed timber from loading to unloading zone, from 2 to 100 bandsaw machines forming stages of ripping timber and arranged between its loading and unloading zones, bandsaw machines and timber feed mechanism control unit. Timber feed mechanism consists of trolleys and is able to move them along the closed transport line by means of a DC motor. Each of the bandsaw machines consists of two vertically arranged U-sections fixed in the upper part with a horizontal bar for vertical movement of sawing unit. Sawing unit comprises driving and driven pulleys with a saw band stretched between them, driving pulley drive motor, saw band tension adjustment mechanism.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of finished material production is reached.
