FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recovery of 1-amino-2-naphthol-4-sulfonic acid from aqueous solutions by organic solvent extraction. Extraction is carried out with 1,4-dioxane from ammonium sulfate-saturated aqueous solution with pH 0.1-1.0, in volume ratio extractant/water sample of 0.3:10. Method of present invention makes it possible to sufficient fully recover 1-amino-2-naphthol-4-sulfonic acid accompanied with recovery of less than 5 % of 1-amino-8-naphthol-2,4-disulfonic acid and 1-amino-8-naphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid.
EFFECT: method for recovery of 1-amino-2-naphthol-4-sulfonic acid from aqueous solutions of improved effectiveness.
