FIELD: metal cutting, apparatuses for drilling and boring.
SUBSTANCE: head includes housing having basic end for mounting in spindle of machine tool, centering drill and one or several cutter inserts with non-reground cutting tips mounted ins eats of housing. In order to enhance accuracy of axial basing of cutting tips, head is provided with mechanisms for adjusting extension value of cutting tip from basic end. Each adjusting mechanism is coupled with one cutter insert. Each mechanism includes wedge placed in cross opening of housing with possibility of engaging by its one lateral surface with end of cutter insert and adjustment screw with annular bead placed in additional seat of housing with possibility of movable thread joining with it. Annular bead of screw is joined with groove of wedge whose width is changed in plane parallel relative to axis of centering drill.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of axial basing of cutting tips.
